In Memory of…

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together…. ~ Author unknown

This page is a dedication to our beloved Birmans, as well as our Dalmation, who have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

Crystal, your sweet, gentle & loving nature captivated all who knew you. We miss you so much. The days are so empty without my beautiful girl following me around, just wanting to be close to me. Fly with the Angels my pretty, pretty girl. Until we meet again.

Title: Lilac Kisses As soft as a marshmallow cloud; you melted our hearts.

You were with us in every facet of our daily lives – from ‘helping’ us do household chores, To warming our pillow at night.

With a twinkle in those blue eyes, You happily marvelled at the world around you.

You had a certain elegance, as you frolicked with the butterflies and chased shadows moving across the floor.

The gentle purrs of contentment and delicate kisses; we were so blessed by your presence.

You will be sorely missed – but we will know without one doubt, That in certain moments in our lives, your presence will be felt once again…

As lilac kisses in the wind.

Jake

Jake was the most gentle Dali, beautiful nature & he loved the cats. Whenever there was a new litter in the house, he knew & wanted to see them. So once they had their eyes open we would relent & bring him inside to see the kittens. He would look down on them with his tail full on. If the bubs saw him they would hiss which just made his tail go faster. The Mum’s never worried about him; they knew he wasn’t a threat. Jake was bought from an animal shelter, so we are not sure when he was born. He was euthanised due to cancer at approximately 11-1/2 years old.

~ Rest in peace our faithful mate.

Khin Brocke passed over the Bridge from a sudden illness. Brocke was Shaza & Henri’s first-ever Birman–and quite an impression he made. To read a personal message from them on their beautiful boy, please click here.

“I Only Wanted You”

They say memories are golden
well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.

A million times I needed you,
a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you
you never would have died.

In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
no one could ever fill.

If tears could build a stairway
and heartache make a lane,
I’d walk the path to heaven
and bring you back again.

Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.
